Rhythm

“Listen. Can you hear it? The music? I can hear it everywhere. In the wind. In the air. In the light. It’s all around us… All you have to do is open yourself up. All you have to do is listen.” – August Rush

There is a rhythm of life going on all around you. If you become aware you’ll even sense it inside you. To be in tune with this rhythm is to be truly alive. To have true abundance, happiness and peace, despite your physical circumstances. But, this rhythm does not force itself on anyone. It is an unforced rhythm.

Can you hear it? Can you see it happening around you? Can you feel it? As with an army of marching soldiers or a grand orchestra, it takes discipline and presence to become aware enough to remain in tune with this rhythm. Sounds like work? Nope. It is like waking up, becoming alive. How can being truly alive not be enjoyable?

This rhythm of life is unlike a normal audible rhythm that can only be heard. It’s experienced and expressed through all your senses… through your deepest desires and and most passionate longings. It escalates and becomes louder with time, as your awareness grows. The more you delight yourself in it, the better your chances of being in tune. The more you LISTEN, the more you’ll HEAR. The more you LOOK, the more you’ll SEE.

Each of us have a unique contribution to make to this global rhythm. If we all took up our places in the orchestra and passionately started playing our favorite instruments, this rhythm of life would be clearer and more beautiful. It would impact the world profoundly and restore the world to God’s purpose for it — a peaceful paradise where love conquers all.

The rhythm carries on regardless of whether we choose to take part or not.

Our journeys to get and stay in tune with this rhythm are unique. There is no step-by-step recipe to get our lives in tune. There are no clear instructions. I can merely inspire you to embark on your own journey, and to get and remain in tune with his rhythm for you. I can create hunger in you for that which is true, that which is real.

“The music is all around us. All you have to do is listen…” – August Rush
